Itinerary

Once you arrive at Kathmandu airport, our guide will pick you and take you to the hotel. After we check in the rest day is free to explore Kathmandu. If you need any assistance for equipment buy/hire, our team will assist you. In the evening our whole group will enjoy an amazing traditional meal. Accommodation: Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. Meals: Dinner
Get ready for one of the most thrilling wake up calls in the Himalayas! Today we kick things off with a spectacular mountain flight to the iconic airstrip of Lukla. Keep your camera ready the views of soaring peaks and terraced hillsides are absolutely unforgettable. Once we touch down, we’ll meet our amazing mountain crew and begin our journey east. The trail quickly leads us away from the bustle of Lukla and into a world of tiny hamlets, whispering forests, and fresh mountain air. We follow a beautiful path beneath the Kalo Himal ridge, weaving through lush woodland where the sounds of streams and birds accompany our first day on foot. This area is crisscrossed with small trails (and plenty of little streams all lovingly called Chhuthang), so we’ll stick together as we gently gain altitude and immerse ourselves in the quiet beauty of the valley. By late afternoon, we arrive in Chhuthang, our cozy stop for the night. Settle into your tea house, enjoy a warm meal, and soak up the excitement the adventure has truly begun! Meals: B L D
Fuel up at breakfast today is a big and incredibly rewarding day on the trail! We start with a steady, energizing climb toward the high point of our route: the Zatrawala Pass. As we ascend, the scenery opens up dramatically, and the sense of adventure kicks up a notch with every step. Reaching the top of the pass is pure magic. At 4,600 meters, we’re greeted by a panoramic masterpiece of Himalayan giants: Numbur Himal, Kongde Ri, Karyolung, and a whole skyline of snow-capped peaks stretching across the horizon. It’s the perfect spot to catch your breath, snap photos, and just soak in the wild beauty around you. From here, we follow a gently undulating ridge for about an hour and a half before beginning our descent into Tuli Kharka a peaceful, open pasture surrounded by rolling hills and mountain views. It’s a beautiful place to unwind after a full day of trekking. Relax at your tea house for the night and enjoy a well-earned dinner (B/L/D). Another amazing Himalayan day in the books! Meals: B L D
Today’s trek is an absolute treat for nature lovers! Leaving Tuli Kharka behind, we follow a trail that rolls up and down through a beautiful, dense forest bursting with rhododendron, oak, pine, and juniper. The air feels fresh and cool, and the colours of the forest change as the light filters through the trees — it’s a magical stretch of the journey. As we move deeper into the Hinku Valley, the views start to open up, revealing Mera Peak in all its glory along with a parade of surrounding snow-draped mountains. This is one of those days where the scenery keeps getting better with every turn. A steep descent leads us down to the roaring Hinku River, and after crossing it, we push through a final uphill section to reach Kothe, a serene spot tucked away on the western side of the valley, Kothe is the perfect place to unwind after a big trekking day. Settle into your tea house for the night and enjoy a hearty dinner (B/L/D). Another stunning day closer to the heart of the Himalayas!
Today’s trek is all about history, culture, and big mountain energy! We leave Kothe and follow a scenic trail that winds along the ridge of the Hinku River, gradually leading us toward the small settlement of Gondishung. Along the way, we visit one of the hidden gems of the region — the Lungsumgba Gompa, a 200-year-old monastery tucked against the cliffs. Here, carved into the rock, you’ll see a remarkable depiction of Mera Peak and its climbing route an ancient piece of Himalayan art that adds a special sense of connection to the mountain ahead. With stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere, Thangnak makes the perfect rest stop as we edge closer to the high-altitude world of Mera. We settle into our tea house for the night and enjoy another hearty mountain meal (B/L/D). The adventure continues — and the mountains are getting bigger!
Today we hit pause — but only in the best way. Our acclimatization day in Thangnak is all about helping our bodies adjust to the altitude while soaking up the incredible mountain atmosphere around us. We’ll keep things active with a gentle acclimatization hike, gaining a bit of elevation to boost our readiness for the higher climbs ahead. The views from the surrounding ridges are spectacular, offering fresh angles of the towering Mera range and the rugged Hinku Valley below. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Kothe. Meals: B L D
Today we move deeper into the high alpine world! Leaving Thangnak behind, our trail climbs steadily across the lateral moraine, weaving between the dramatic landscapes shaped by the Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. The terrain feels wild and rugged, with glacier-carved valleys and towering peaks guiding our path. Finally, we reach Khare, perched at 5,000 meters, where the northern face of Mera Peak rises majestically right before our eyes. This is one of the most breathtaking viewpoints of the entire expedition — a true “wow” moment. Khare is our base for the next phase of the climb, and we’ll spend an additional day here to rest, acclimatize, and explore. Settle into your tea house, enjoy a warm meal (B/L/D), and take in the mountain energy — the real climbing adventure is just about to begin!
Today is all about preparing our minds, bodies, and gear for the ascent ahead. At over 5,000 meters, proper acclimatization becomes absolutely essential — and Khare is the perfect place to rest, explore, and get ready for the climb. We’ll start the day with a relaxed pace, giving our bodies time to adjust to the thinner air. Then the real fun begins: a hands-on climbing training session led by our experienced climbing guide. During this training, you’ll learn and practice key mountaineering skills, including: 🧗‍♂️ How to fix and belay a rope 🧊 Proper use of your ice axe and crampons 🔗 Moving safely on a rope team 🪢 Basic techniques you’ll use on summit day Our Sherpa team will also check through everyone’s gear — ropes, harnesses, ice axes, crampons, and all essential equipment — to make sure everything is perfectly set for the climb. The rest of the day is yours to relax, soak up the epic views, or wander the high-altitude surroundings of Khare. We spend another cozy night in our tea house with meals included (B/L/D). With training locked in and acclimatization underway, you’ll feel strong, confident, and ready for the upper mountain!
Leaving Khare behind, we step straight into the world of high-altitude adventure. Our trail climbs steadily toward the Mera La Pass, crossing a landscape of glistening snowfields and rugged rocky sections. The air feels crisper, the surroundings more dramatic, and every step brings us closer to the high camp. After crossing the pass, we continue along a rocky, often snow-covered trail that leads toward Mera Peak High Camp. Upon reaching High Camp, our amazing Sherpa team moves into action, setting up tents, preparing hot drinks, and checking everyone’s health and gear to ensure we’re ready for the big push. This is a place where the world feels vast and raw — and the views are nothing short of legendary.
This is the day — the moment we’ve been preparing for since the beginning of the expedition. Fully acclimatized and equipped, we begin our summit push in the early hours, typically around 2:00 AM, when the stars are bright and the mountain is quiet. With headlamps glowing, we rope up and make our way onto the glacier, climbing steadily toward the ridge. The world around us begins to glow as the first hints of dawn touch the horizon. Step by step, following the guidance of our expert climbing leader, we move upward across the glacier, taking in the surreal beauty of the high Himalayas waking up. Reaching the summit of Mera Peak is an unforgettable moment — a breathtaking 360° panorama of the world’s highest mountains. From the top, we are rewarded with views of five towering 8,000-meter giants:
Having achieved our target summit of Mera Peak, After Breakfast we will have a Heli ride to Lukla. Enjoy your rest day exploring Lukla. Overnight at tea house Include meal B/L/D.
After an incredible journey through the Himalayas, we wake early for a scenic flight from Lukla back to Ramechhap or Kathmandu. From the air, enjoy one last sweeping view of the mountains that have been our companions for the past days — a perfect farewell to the high Himalayas. Upon landing, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. If arriving via Ramechhap, it’s a 4-hour drive to Kathmandu, offering one last opportunity to soak in the Nepali landscapes. Once in the city, the afternoon is yours to rest, explore, or enjoy some leisure time — maybe pick up souvenirs, sip chai in a local café, or wander the vibrant streets. In the evening, we come together for a festive farewell dinner, celebrating our achievements, sharing memories, and toasting to an unforgettable adventure. Overnight at hotel with breakfast included (B/B). A perfect end to an epic journey in the Himalayas!
This day is reserved as a flex day in case of flight delays or bad weather at Lukla. If flights are postponed, we’ll use this time to relax, explore the surroundings, and enjoy some last moments in the Himalayas. Meals and accommodation will be provided at the hotel (B/B). It’s a safety buffer to ensure a smooth and stress-free end to your expedition.
Today we say goodbye — to the mountains, the trails, and the unforgettable adventure you’ve shared with us in Nepal. Your journey comes to an end, but the memories of soaring peaks, alpine vistas, and summit triumphs will stay with you forever. Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, a representative from Everest View Treks & Expedition will transfer you to the airport. You’ll have plenty of time to reflect on your journey and start planning your next Himalayan adventure in this incredible country. Farewell, and until we meet the mountains again!
