Mera Peak (6,476 m/21,245 ft) is the highest climbing peak of Nepal's in Khumbu, Region that does not require any technical skills and only requires basic mountaineering skills and descent fitness level.

We will follow the Standard Northern Route to the summit, along the way learning to walk on fixed ropes and crossing some of the world’s most spectacular glaciers.

Five of the world’s highest mountains can be seen from the top of the peak namely, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-you, Manaslu and Kanchenjunga.

Itinerary

Once you arrive at Kathmandu airport, our guide will pick you and take you to the hotel. After we check in the rest day is free to explore Kathmandu. If you need any assistance for equipment buy/hire, our team will assist you. In the evening our whole group will enjoy an amazing traditional meal. Accommodation: Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. Meals: Dinner
At midnight with pack breakfast we will drive to Ramechhap Manthali Airport which takes around 4 hours. Then we will fly by small plane for 20 minutes to Lukla. Upon landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport, we trek through forest, cross a bridge over Handi River and get to Surke. From Surkhe, we cross Chutok-la pass and arrive for the overnight at Paiya. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Paiya. Meals: B L D
We start our trek by descending and cross to the bridge. Then our trail goes slippery until we cross Kari –La Pass. After lunch, we continue through Bamboo and Rhododendron forests on a narrow trail. We get the fantastic view of Dudhokoshi valley before we reach the farming land of Pangoma. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Pangoma. Meals: B L D
After breakfast, we start our trek by descending and come to the Mani walls. Once we pass the Pangoma La Pass, we ascend continue to cross a small stream and then we reach Peeng kharka Danda. We reach at Ningsow village after crossing Ningsow Stream. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Ningsow. Meals: B L D
After breakfast, we ascend first and descend for a while and again ascend to get to the Ramailo Danda. We get magnificent view of Mera Peak. After ups and downs we enter to the Makalu Barun National Park. We walk through Bamboo and Rhododendron forest, might encounter wild animals including elusive Red Panda and get to the Chetra Khola. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Chektra Khola. Meals: B L D
After breakfast, we pass through the forest to the north trail to Mera Peak. Along the trek, we see the views of Mera Peak and Hinko Valley. We walk alongside the Hinko Khola and get to Tashing Ongma which has several tea houses. After having lunch, we continue our trek to Kothe after crossing the bridge over a small stream. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Kothe. Meals: B L D
After breakfast, we start our trek along the riverside of Hinko Khola in the shadow of Mera Peak. As our trail continues, we have views of Mt. Charpate, Mare La nad 200 years old Lungsumgba Gompa, a Buddhist Monastery in the lap of a big rock where Mera Peak scripted in a rock. From here, Thagnak is a small walk away which is a summer grazing area with basic tea houses. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Thagnak. Meals: B L D
Today is a short day, where we trek to Khare. Our trail leads us to the opening valley view’s to the north of Hinku Nup ,Shar glacier. After climbing steeply we reach Khare. From Khare, we have the magnificent view of Northern Side of Mera Peak. Rest of the day, we can walk around Khare. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Khare. Meals: B L D
Today we stay an extra night at Khare to get proper Acclimatization and training. Our Climbing Guides and crews give you the technical knowledge by showing you how to walk on fixed ropes and using eqipment like crampons and ice axes. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Khare. Meals: B L D
On this day, we move from Plaza Canada to Camp 2 named “Nido de Cóndores” at 5,550m. This is when we start enjoying the real beauty of high altitude, ascending more and more, surrounded by a spectacular view of the Andes. Sleeping: Tents Trekking time: 5-6 hrs Max altitude: 5,550 m
We begin our journey to the Mera High Camp passing by Mera Peak Base Camp. The trail to Mera Base Camp is very steep. From Base Camp, the trial continues to Mera High Camp passing by Mera- La Pass. We camp behind a large vertical rock for additional shelter. From the high camp we get the jaw dropping views of 5 of the tallest mountains in the world in the clear day including Mt. Kanchenjunga in the far distance. Accommodation: Overnight at Tented Camp at High Camp. Meals: B L D
This is the most exciting and important day of your trip as you are going to stand at the top of one of the most beautiful peaks in the world. We wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and start our journey to the peak. At the last leg of the summit, we might need to fix rope. From the top of the summit, we see the incredible views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Nuptse (7,855m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m) and many more. After spending some time, we return back to the High Camp, rest and descend back to Khare. Accommodation: Overnight at Tea House/Lodge in Khare. Meals: B L D
After early breakfast, we will fly back to Lukla by Helicopter and move from the Helipad to the airport for our flight to Lukla. (There is an optional Helicopter directly to Lukla for an additional $620 USD) These flights are highly depends on the weather condition. In Kathmandu we will celebrate with a traditional Nepali Dinner Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu. Meals: B, L, D
After Breakfast at the hotel we will leave for the airport and take our respective flights home!
